Broken Teeth – Biologic Shaping / Crown Lengthening

When patients have teeth that break at the gumline, it becomes a real challenge to restore. Sometimes we are not able to restore the teeth and have no option but to extract and go to implants. Many would have gone straight to implants, and this is a case where implants would be a good way to go, but I felt we could save these teeth by doing a surgery to expose more of these teeth. With the biologic shaping surgery, we were able to expose more of tooth and create a healthy bed of gum tissue at the base of the teeth. Finished the case with a bridge and a crown to fix the 4 lower right teeth.
